NR is a more direct precursor and has human clinical evidence that is much stronger compared to NMN. NMN has to be converted to NR before it can enter the cells.
NR enters cells through dedicated transporters, allowing efficient uptake into tissues. NMN must be broken down into NR before entering the cell, as functional NMN transporters are essentially absent in humans. NR is the precursor cells actually use, making it more bioavailable.
