7 Natural Ways to Reverse Split Ends

We can all agree split ends are our biggest hair enemy. Whether you are young or old this dreaded issue is experienced by all of us.

We have come up with 7 tips to improve the look of your hair and prevent more splits occurring.

1) Haircut

The most effective way to get rid of split ends is to cut them off. This will leave your hair in much better condition. If you are trying to grow your hair and avoid the hairdresser like most of us do, your hair will continue splitting up the length of your hair. So make sure you get regular cuts to maintain healthy hair and avoid more split ends!

2) Vida Glow

Collagen is the most abundant protein in our bodies and it is the structural building block for our hair. Without adequate collagen, hair will lack hydration and strength, becoming brittle and dry. A natural collagen supplement like Vida Glow marine collagen can help promote hair growth and regeneration, especially of weak, damaged hair from over styling and heat. A marine collagen supplement like Vida Glow can also improve the hair follicle strength and even reversing split ends by providing healthy moisture levels within the hair fibres.

3) Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has so many great benefits and you can use this as a way to get rid of your split ends. Coconut oil penetrates the hair shaft, getting past the cuticle, repairing and preventing damage and protein loss whilst improving shine. Use a small amount of coconut oil on the ends of your hair after showering, as a daily moisturizer for dry hair which will seal up those dead ends!

4) Honey

Honey works as a natural moisturizer for hair and is an excellent cure for getting rid of split ends. Take three tablespoons of honey and apply it to your split ends. Leave it in your hair for twenty minutes, rinse thoroughly and condition your hair. Your hair will look shiny and split free.

5) Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil makes sure your scalp remains moist naturally. This stimulates hair growth, leaving you with beautiful, thick, long hair.  Scalp health is very important for good hair. If there is a deficiency, your scalp will get dry and your hair will become dull and dry also, causing hair to fall out and split ends to occur. Add some jojoba oil to the ends of your hair, leaving it on for twenty minutes and rinse.

6) Egg

Eggs are incredibly rich in protein. Protein helps strengthen the hair follicles and shaft, making them so much less prone to breakage, damage as well as split ends. Beat two eggs with a spoon of water and apply to your hair as shampoo.

7) Avocado and Olive Oil

Not only will this hair mask get rid of your split ends, but it will leave your hair super soft and shiny! Avocado is the main ingredient in this hair mask. Packed with healthy fats, avocado is a natural moisturizing and hair conditioning ingredient. Olive oil is really nutritious for the hair and scalp. It will help lubricate dry hair and regulate oil in normal hair.

All you need is half of a ripe avocado and one teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil. Mix together in a bowl until you get a creamy consistency. Wash you hair first with shampoo and then apply the mask. Start by massaging the mask into your roots and scalp, applying a generous amount to the ends of your hair. Once you have covered your whole hair, leave for five minutes, rinse thoroughly with cold water and condition normally. This is one of the most natural ways to get rid of split ends.
